The Soldiers Table Revealed
The latest chapter concluded with a huge suspense moment and presented the first table of characters who will separate from the main group to begin their independent quest, distinct from the other two tables.
The combat-focused team includes Teor Pridesire (brought to life by Travis Willingham), the agile character (Laura), Tyranny (Whitney Moore), the cleric (Sam), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie Daymond).
Why Split the Party?
With 13 cast members, it was evident from the beginning that keeping everyone at the same party would be unworkable.
That’s why, the initial installments of this story serve as an Introduction, intertwining the personal journeys before branching into three smaller tables: Fighters, Planners, and Seekers.
The Nature of the Warrior Group
According to the Dungeon Master, the combat-focused party is for participants who prefer a typically action-packed battle-oriented story mode where peaceful solutions are scarce.
Upon first impression, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander Halovar might appear out of place, but the events of the latest installment make it clear why these specific adventurers are perfectly fit for the warrior group.
Why They Must Go
First, the group knows exactly where to go next after a brutal initial meeting with the antagonists.
An old friend of the deceased character—whose demise started the campaign’s events—exploited the foes for his personal gain, breaking into the hidden lair, assaulting the character, and stealing all the enchanted items to auction.
The traitor then settled his obligations and fled to a Halovar stronghouse in the northern region, above the urban center, with Cyd hot on his heels.
Character Drivers
Moreover, each member has a personal reason to depart the metropolitan area:
- The rogue, as the companion and best friend, desires vengeance.
- Kattigan has experience in the northern area and cautions that it is a hostile location.
- The warrior and The healer, having defied his relatives’ demands to execute the fighter and instead saved him, have no other options.
- But, their reputation as important members in the powerful family could enable the party enter places they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Additionally, The grateful character pledged a eternal obligation to Wicander for his deliverance and will now follow him anywhere.
Wanted and Hunted
Finally, all of them are hunted by the rulers that rule the setting for a multiple motives, making remaining behind too risky:
- Thimble and Kattigan are recognized lawbreakers.
- Tyranny and Wicander turned against the powerful family and the army of fiends they are aligned with.
- The fighter is targeted for elimination by the family.
This results in them few options but to journey toward the northern region in pursuit of Casimir.
