Intensive Moscow's Assaults Eliminate Electricity Across Ukraine's Capital

Power facilities targeted in the region
Ukraine's power facilities have come under escalating strikes in recent weeks

Overnight, Russian missile and drone strikes have led to electricity outages in multiple districts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

A number of civilians were injured while local people in the city's east were left without electricity and encountered disruption to water supplies, per reports from city officials.

Meanwhile, a young boy was killed in a separate Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southeastern part, based on information from area administrators.

Russian forces has escalated attacks on power infrastructure over the past few days, while the country's government has demanded "real steps" from international partners to apply pressure on Russia.

"What is required is not window dressing but decisive action - from the US, European nations and the major economies - in delivering protection systems and implementing penalties," mentioned in a public message.

Officials stated that 450 drones and several dozen projectiles targeted energy facilities, describing such attacks as "premeditated" and against "essential services" as the weather cools.

The energy minister said Russia was "conducting extensive attacks" and technical staff were striving to restore power.

A barrage of missiles hit energy infrastructure and residential structures in the capital.

Several of the people injured in the strikes on the city have been hospitalized, per statements from city authorities.

Area administrators said the urban area came under significant strikes during nighttime hours. A seven-year-old child died and multiple civilians were wounded.

The attacks come after periods of bombing campaigns in the territory, sections of which remain under the control of invading troops.

The whole nation is on alert for advanced weapon attacks, which are more difficult to identify.

Government officials told the media that Moscow was purposely seeking to demolish the electrical infrastructure, with assaults already impacting energy systems.

Authorities confirmed energy workers and officials were preparing for more assaults.
